It cracks me up that you've never had a Hostess 'Fruit' Pie. I used to love those things.

Is the list refering to Durian the fruit? Famous for smelling like ass, banned from the cabin of all Indonesian Airlines flights. Not the same as Okra. I too am amazed by the lack of 'Fruit' Pie consumption.

Technically, I guess okra is in the durian family -- though certainly easier on the senses.

And per the sad lack of fruit pie, I grew up in Tastycake (in which I enthusiastically indulged) country, and with such good local junk, who had time for Hostess?

Except, of course, for that one hostess at Pizza Hut back in high school. The platinum blond with the purple dye job. She was worthy, indeed.
